The world famous chef Jamie Oliver will be a judge at a BBQ festival in Iceland this summer. The festival will be held at Gardur, on Reykjanes peninsula (click here for a map), not far from Keflavik International Airport. This will be the first time the festival is held at this location but this will be an annual event.
The restaurant Tveir Vitar (direct translation: Two Lighthouses) together with an Icelandic website will organize this event, for BBQ fans. The festival will take place from June 6th - 8th. It takes around 50 minutes to drive to Gardur from Reykjavik city.
The Naked Chef will be in the kitchen
"Yes, he is coming to Iceland and he will be a judge at our competition" said Grimur Vilhelmsson, restaurant owner. "He will also BBQ for visitors so this will be a whole lot of fun". Jamie will probably attract many people to the festival so it will likely be difficult to get a table at the restaurant, but those who can appreciate a good BBQ should definitely attend.
