Massive Attack will be the main number at a new music festival, Secret Solstice, that will take place in Reykjavik on June 20-22. In an announcement it is stated that hundreds of foreign guests have already confirmed that they will attend.
Massive Attack is an influential band from Bristol in Britain. Among other bands that will perform at Secret Solstice are for example Múm, Mammút, Solaris and Sisí Ey.
Fridrik Olafsson and Jack Robinson are managing the festival, but Jack is for example also involved in the Outlook and Dimensions music festivals in central Europe.
This will be a good year for music lovers in Iceland. Iceland Airwaves have confirmed that The Flaming Lips will be the main number this year. And today the representatives of the All Tomorrow's Parties music festival that Neil Young will perform in Iceland next summer along with Crazy Horse. Other bands at the ATP festival are for example Interpol and Portishead.
