Bad weather in Iceland yesterday - up to 50m/s

The weather was quite insane in Iceland yesterday and not too great today either. It snowed in various parts of Iceland yesterday and recorded wind gusts were  up to 50 meters per second.

Search and Rescue teams all over Iceland had plenty to do yesterday when trampolines and other loose things were flying all over the place. Trees and other heavy stuff was also falling down in some places. The weather was worst in the south and western parts of Iceland.

In the Westfjords it was snowing sideways yesterday.

Quite strong wind and rain, sleet or even snow will continue today and even further into the week. Domestic flight were canceled yesterday as well as this morning.

Roads are icy in many parts of the country and drivers should use caution, also because of strong and sudden wind.
