Ingolfur Arnar Magnusson, electrician, has wanted to open his own store for 10 years, because he thought that there was a need for a clothing store for 25-45 year old men. Ten years after he got the idea he finally went for it, rented housing on the main shopping street in Reykjavik, Laugavegur, and he started to look for the brand he wanted to sell. "Yes I did this in the reverse order" he said smiling.

The store Be A Man was opened in the departures section of the Duty Free store at Keflavik international airport last December. The store is specifically for men and the name is in English since the store is at an international airport.

Reykjavik Fashion Festival, RFF, will take place for the fourth time on March 14th - 16th, along with DesignMarch. The event will be hosted at Harpa concert hall, downtown Reykjavik.

Kria Jewellery was founded in 2007 by Jóhanna Metúsalemsdóttir. The inspiration for the design came one day when Johanna saw a skeleton of an Arctic Tern on a black stone. But the Icelandic word Kría means Arctic Tern. Johanna also works with fish bones, mostly Cod. Johanna has the support of friends who collect bones and teeth for her and send her, but she currently lives in New York.

Mary Donaldson, Crown Princess of Denmark, wore Icelandic design on a ski trip in the Swiss Alps, where she was with her four children and husband, Frederik Crown Prince of Denmark. The jacket that she wore is called Björg and is made by Icelandic label Cintamani.

Mascolo has won the title "British hairdresser of the year" three times and is one of the Mascolo brothers who founded Toni &Guy. He will have a course and a fashion show for professional hairdressers in Austurbæjarbíó, Reykjavik on May 12th.
