"The Saga of Carl" is the 21th episode of season 24. It originally aired on May 19, 2013 alongside "Dangers on a Train" in a one hour season finale. The Icelandic band Sigur Rós guest-stared as themselves. The departing prime minister of Iceland, Johanna Sigurdardottir, also appeared in the episode.

The Eurovision Song Contest Finals took place tonight. Iceland was 17th in the competition, among 26 finalists, with 47 points. - This is slightly better than last year when Iceland was 20th with 46 points with the song Never Forget performed by Greta Salóme and Jón Jósep Snæbjörnsson. Denmark was the indisputable winner of tonight as Emmelie de Forest performed Only Teardrops.
Rapper Busta Rhymes allegedly stole a chorus from Icelandic Musician Jakob Frímann Magnússon. Busta Rhymes used a chorus from Jakob's song 'Burlesque in Barcelona' in his song 'Doin' It Again', without consulting with Jakob.
A new poster has been released for the Simpsons episode that takes place in Iceland. In the show, the half-Icelandic Carl will be followed to Iceland. Icelandic band Sigur Rós both wrote music for the show and will appear on it.
Radio Station Rás 2, broadcasted by state broadcaster RÚV constantly follows and frequently posts a music singles chart for Iceland.
Icelandic rap band Úlfur Úlfur released a new video yesterday at KEX hostel&bar. The song is 'Sofðu vel' (e. "Sleep tight"). The video was produced by Redd Lights.
Margaret Berger, the Norwegian Eurovision singer was interviewed in Norway after rehearsals by Davíð Sigurðsson for visir.is.

Icelandic superband, Of Monsters and Men will tour in Europe this summer. It recently became clear that musician Ásgeir Trausti will be with OMAM and warm up for 9 of their shows, in the UK, France, Denmark, Germany and Belgium.
