The public is invited to experience music performed by the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), accompanied by singers from the European Opera Centre. The conductor is the renowned Laurent Pillot. Vladimir Ashkenazy is the Music Director of the EUYO.

The theme of the concert is Irish, in honour of the Irish EU presidency, and includes several well known musical gems.
The European Union Youth Orchestra unites Europe's most talented young musicians under internationally renowned conductors to critical acclaim. The EUYO is funded by the EU Culture Programme and by the governments of the 27 Member States.
The European Opera Centre’s principal aim is to offer a professional pathway helping talented young European artists from education to employment in opera. The Centre is funded by the European Commission and the Royal Scottish Bank.
