Kex Hostel will also participate with a series of free shows each night at 8pm at their wonderful restaurant.
Among the first bands to be confirmed for performance on Reykjavik Music Mess are the lovely electro quartet Bloodgroup, who recently released their best work yet, the gripping Tracing Echoes. We will also see some action from the passive aggressive Mammút, who will be trying out some new material from upcoming anticipated 3rd album, shoegazing noise guzzlers of Oyama and angry but nice hardcore outfit Muck.
A festival is nothing with out some international flavour and we will invite a few bands from overseas to come join us for the weekend. From Australia we get party rockers DZ Deathrays and from Scotland we get alternative folk star Withered Hand with his magnificent band (joined by Benni Hemm Hemm). But the core is of course Iceland's endless source of fabulous talent.
