The Irish are excited about young Icelandic Videographer

Young Icelandic Videographer, Kristinn Gauti Gunnarsson, has received great attention in the Irish media after he filmed, edited and posted a video of Icelandic daredevils having fun in Iceland.

Kristinn Gunnarsson traveled with his friends to different parts of Iceland this summer to film them performing some thrilling water-based activities. Filmed mostly around Akranes and other parts of west Iceland, the video shows the group diving from cliffs into chilly Icelandic lakes, tubing behind a powerful speedboat and trampolining off a pier.

Kristinn is 18 years old and lives in Akranes in West Iceland. He was contacted by a company in Ireland after he posted the video. The company specializes in distributing and promoting videos online. The company now acts as kind of an agent for Kristinn. "They are the middle man and take a percentage of my profits", said Kristinn.

The video was not made to help attract tourists to Iceland. It was just to make something different and fun, but foreigners might like to see what is possible in Iceland, despite the freezing cold ocean and rivers.
