No Travel Weather Today

Travelers in Iceland should follow the weather forecast closely for the next few days. It's going to be windy the next days, even stormy on Christmas Eve.

Many travel within Iceland to be with friends or family elsewhere in the country over the holidays. December is often risky for travelers and people planning to travel in the next few days should check weather and road conditions before the trip. The 23rd and 24th of December are expected to be especially bad, according to a meteorologist.

Storm and sleet today

The forecast for today is rather bad, 15-23 m/s wind and sleet or snow. Temperatures are expected to be from 0-6 °C (32°F-43°F) tonight. The weather tomorrow and this weekend should be a bit better though. Road conditions are wintery all over Iceland and summer wheels are not going to get you far. Most Icelanders are now using winter or studded tyres.
