Mr. Jon Gnarr, the mayor of Reykjavik, cut down a tree just outside of Oslo, Norway, yesterday. It is a tradition that Oslo gives the citizens of Reykjavik a Christmas tree, that is placed downtown Reykjavik during the holidays. The tree will be lit on December 1st.

The Best Party, led by mayor of Reykjavik Jón Gnarr, has increased its support and new Gallup poll shows they have 35% support in the city, the same percentage as on election day 2010. The Best Party is therefore again the biggest party in Reykjavik, after dropping down to 32% support in a Gallup poll last April.
