It is suggested that development aid to UNICEF should be decreased by around $190.000. According to Stefan this money has been used for development and emergency aid for children, and the money is used where the need is the most at each time. This is a substantial decrease if this will be passed, or around 12%.
UNICEF continuously analyses where the need is the most, and lately the money have been used for medical purposes south of Sahara in Africa. The money are never specially assigned to specific projects and Stefan says that this is what makes UNICEF so strong, the fund helps where the need is most at each time.
