Mr. Kristinn Hrafnsson, Wikileaks spokesperson, gave a statement today because of the FBI matter. Mr. Hrafnsson was the one who informed the government about the FBI being in Iceland. Later Mr. Ogmundur Jonasson, the Minister of the Interior, confirmed this.
Mr. Jonasson also gave a statement at the meeting today, along with the State prosecutor and chief of police. The latter two, said that The Ministry of the Interior knew about the FBI being in Iceland, which is not in line with what Mr. Jonasson had said.
The FBI agents said that they were going to investigate a computer attack on the Government Offices of Iceland but then they spent five days on interrogating a former volunteer of Wikileaks, who is an Icelandic citizen.
