Mr. Kristinn Hrafnsson, Wikileaks spokesperson, said last week that representatives from the FBI came to Iceland in August 2011. The Icelandic Minister of the Interior confirmed this the same day and said that when he became aware of the FBI in Iceland he cancelled all cooperation with the FBI and told the representatives to leave.

A joint meeting between two committees in Iceland began today, the committees are the Constitutional and Supervisory Committee and the Judicial Affairs and Education Committee. At the meeting the actions of the FBI, during the summer of 2011, will be discussed.

The Minister of the Interior said this morning, in parliament, that he thought that the FBI wanted to use an Icelandic computer hacker as bait to get closer to Wikileaks. Ms. Birgitta Jonsdottir, a member of parliament, said that the Icelandic police authorities had believed a fictional story told by two hackers.

"If I don't come back home I hope that there will not be silence about that here at home" said Ms. Birgitta Jonsdottir, MP and volunteer for Wikileaks. She is the co-founder of a new political party called The Pirate Party Iceland. The party will be running for parliament in the upcoming elections on April 27th.

Birgitta Jonsdottir, Icelandic MP who released the WikiLeaks video Collateral Murder, will visit the US on April 3rd despite legal threats. She said that she has held back from visiting the US long enough, and now she will go there and express support for Bradley Manning. Birgitta posted her agenda for the trip recently on her Facebook page. The agenda can also be found on www.bradleymanning.org.

"We will of course react harshly if Birgitta´s freedom will be compromised in any way on US soil. She has, as a citizen, not broken any laws in this country, or any other country for that matter, and it would be absurd if the US government would violate the parliamentary sanctity of an Icelandic MP, and I do not expect that to happen." said Ossur Skarphedinsson, the minister of foreign affairs in Iceland when asked about Birgitta Jonsdottir, who just landed in the US.

"His message, his statement, is so powerful, and it feels to me that he is not broken. And that shows what an extraordinary person he is." said Birgitta Jonsdottir at the Bradley Manning event yesterday, and received an applause for the audience. She continued "And I truly think that one of the reasons that he is not broken is because he knows of all of us out here that are fighting for him".

Democracy Now!, is an independent global news hour. Birgitta Jonsdottir, Icelandic MP and member of the Icelandic Pirate Party, was recently interviewed by the news hour. She talked about war crimes, information secrecy and her recent visit to the US among other things.

Birgitta Jonsdottir made it safely to the USA last night. Read more about her adventure HERE. She is currently answering any questions on Reddit.com Check it out!

Birgitta Jonsdottir, Wikileaks volunteer and member of the Icelandic Pirate Party, was answering question on Reddit today. This event is called Ask me Anything, and Reddit users can ask post questions and Birgitta answers. On Reddit Birgitta for example said that Icelanders had their darkest day in parliament last week, because the new constitution did not get passed.
