The Icelandic food and veterinary authority (MAST) in Iceland recently discovered that there was no meat in meat-pies from the Icelandic food company Gaedakokkar. They also found that labeling of Icelandic food products was not satisfactory in many cases.

Healthy hamburger recipe

This is a healthy version of a hamburger with no bread and sweet potatoes instead of normal french fries. Here, sweet potatoes are also used instead of hamburger bread and the hamburger sauce is guacamole. This is a great way to spice things up and a delicious meal that you shouldn´t feel guilty about eating.

Increase in fruit and vegetable supply

Supply of fruits decreased in 2009 and 2010, but increased this year. Last year, 2012, we had 61 kg (134 lbs.) of fruits per capita. The sugar supply did not change much between years and was just over 45 kg (99 lbs.) per capita.

Sólveig Eiríksdóttir, better known as Solla in Gló or just Solla, is considered among the best raw food chefs in the world. She cooks for Hollywood stars, plays with her grandchild and works on her gardening.
