Today the director and the staff of the organization Samtökin '78 handed the prime minister a rainbow-flower-bouquet as a token of gratitude for the pioneering work as the first openly gay minister in the world.
Samtökin '78 is the Icelandic Lesbian and Gay organisation. It provides counselling, social gatherings, holds dances and is a member of the Reykjavík pride parade committee.
