Changes are expected in the coming elections and according to recent polls the largest party today is the Independence Party, a right wing party. A likely result of the coming elections is that the Independence Party forms a majority with the farmers party called The Progressive Party.
The elections will take place on April 27th, 2013.
According to a poll made in September 2012 the four largest parties got the following support:
Progressive Party 13.8%
Independence Party 36%
Social Democratic Alliance 20.7%
Left Green Movement 13.3%
Other parties got less support
