Following is a Short Film with Icelandic MMA and UFC fighter Gunnar Nelson. The film is however quite old but seems to have gotten a "new life" recently and some people think it's new. It was in fact done in 2010 by a student at the Icelandic Film School.

MMA Fighters from Iceland successful in Ireland - VIDEO

It was not only our Eurovision singer Eythor Ingi that did well this weekend (read more HERE). On the same night, Saturday night, two amateur MMA fighters, from Mjölnir fight club in Iceland, competed in MMA in the Ryoshin Fighting Championships in Dublin, Ireland.

Icelandic Muay Thai girl with Knockout in First Round - VIDEO

Icelandic fighter, Sunna Davíðsdóttir fought her third professional Muay Thai fight recently at the Bangla Boxing Stadium in Phuket, Thailand. Sunna overwhelms her opponent Nongkarn with strong punches and finishes the fight with a knockout. Check out the video below.

Maria Gudsteinsdottir with Icelandic record in Czech Republic

Icelandic Powerlifter from Ármann sports club, María Guðsteinsdóttir was 6th in the European Powerlifting Championship, held by the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) in the Czech Republic earlier this month. She set an Icelandic record in the -72 kg weight class.

Crossfit Regionals - Event 5 - Annie had the world record in 2011 - VIDEO

The CrossFit Regionals Workouts have been released (see screenshot underneath). Event 5 is repeated from 2011, when Iceland Annie set the world record time 2:57. Austin Malleolo had the world record time for men, 2:56. In just over a week, we will see how much the field has improved in two years.
