Halldór, who is only 19 years old, was this weekend also nominated rookie of the year. Halldór has been living and training in Sweden, but him and his brother, Eiríkur, are getting well known in the snowboarding scene. The Winter X-Games took place in Aspen Colorado.
Halldór lay down 2 unbeatable scores of 50, beating Norweigen sensation Torstein Horgmo. The tricks he did in the air are known as frontside double cork 1080 and backside double cork 1260. With a score of 100, it is no surprise that Halldor declared himself ‘pretty stoked’ (see video).
