For the next 10 weeks, 10 teams will be working on moving their business from idea to reality, and during that time they'll be getting a lot of help from people with a smorgasboard of talent and experience, all of whom are willing to share said experiences. Early on in the program the teams will be spending a lot of time in the meeting rooms, soaking up the advice given from the mentors and hopefully manging to put some of that advice to good use. But it hasn't all been work, work, work. There's still time to play, play, play. The groups have been spotted in downtown Reykjavik, enjoying a few local beers and getting to know one another. In the coming days the groups will be enjoying the beautiful Icelandic country side, doing some team building and most likely having a few more beers over the weekend.
One of the teams in the program, Þoran Distillery, has been doing a lot of number crunching over the past few days. Their goal is to start production of Icelandic whisky, and they've been getting a lot of questions about how much it's going to cost and when people can have their first dram. Those numbers will be available in the coming weeks, so follow their progress on www.thoran.is or follow @thoranwhisky on Twitter.
