Björk, Iceland's most famous person and world famous singer and artist, is to be the subject of a full scale retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
An art installation of 26 life-size human sculptures at Grant Park in Chicago was vandalized overnight when graffiti taggers left their signatures on 18 of the statues. The statues were made by Icelandic sculptor Steinunn Þórarinsdóttir. The public art exhibition is titled "Borders".

The Hamburg-based data company Emporis has put together a list of what it's calling the world's most spectacular concert halls. Harpa Concert hall is on the list, making Harpa one of the 15 most beautiful concert halls in the world according to Emporis. This was reported by CNN earlier today.
A major exhibition in Iceland devoted to Anne Herzog , french artist based in Iceland, focuses on the series of astonishingly visionary and fictional drawings. Anne is looking at the center of the earth in Iceland. Recently she has been to a wild and volcanic island in the Caribbean to shoot her most recent documentary, "the doomed land".
