The Icelandic Music Awards
gala was held last Friday night in Reykjavik's dazzling Harpa concert hall, a ceremony which saw Mammút, Skálmöld and John Grant amongst the winners.
Mammút were honored in the Record of the Year category for their album 'Komdu til mín svarta systir', and they also won Song of the Year with the single 'Salt'.
Hard rockers Skálmöld were crowned Band Of The Year.
Sigríður Thorlacius, singer with Hjaltalín, won the Female Singer of the Year category, while the Male Singer of the Year was named as John Grant, who also received the gong for Songwriter of the Year.
Mezzoforte were given the honorary prize, which saw the band entering into the Hall of Fame.
