The Telegraph did a story on Iceland this Wednesday called: "Iceland: the land of fire and ice", by professor Roger Buck.  A profile on the beautiful but volatile natural environment of Europe's youngest country.

Iceland is a landscape full of extremes: from icy glaciers to fiery volcanic furnaces.

With 30 active volcanic systems, the country in the Northern Hemisphere is responsible for a third of the world's total lava output.

Roger Buck, professor and research scientist at Columbia University's Earth Institute said: "You have to come visit Iceland soon because in a hundred years, it will certainly be a different landscape."
